Death of Classical Announces Curtis Stewart's "of Love."
My dear friends,
First, all of us at DoC are sending you Cryptic, crepuscular tidings throughout this holiday period, and are looking forward to a bright new year ahead!
As our gift to you, we're announcing our first Crypt Session of 2024, featuring the great violinist and composer Curtis Stewart (who last joined us in the Catacombs with the amazing ensemble PUBLIQuartet). Curtis will perform his Grammy-nominated program of Love. on February 16 in the Crypt, and far from the hollow Hallmark holiday it closely follows, this concert for solo violin and electronics was created in memory of his remarkable mother, celebrating her artistic impact while also grappling with those feelings of grief, remembrance, identity and hope that inevitably follow loss.
It's a message that I empathize with deeply, and feel is important to share at any moment - though even more so at present, when love in its truest form seems to be in ever-shorter supply. Find more info below, and a link to tickets HERE.We'll have many more concert announcements to follow in the coming weeks, and will look forward to seeing you at a show soon!
Subterraneally yours,- Andrew
