Announcing The Angel's Share Season 6!

My most-cherished cemetery companions,

A rolling stone gathers no moss, and so as we gear up for our massive immersive cabaret event Tiergarten next week, and marvelous May Crypt Sessions, we're also excited to announce our new season of The Angel's Share, in partnership with our dear friends at The Green-Wood Cemetery and Catacombs!

This season traces the long arc of history, exploring where we’ve been, where we are, and where we might go from here. From the ancient church music that infuses Beethoven’s weary hymn of thanks, to the Baroque dances rippling through Caroline Shaw’s Pulitzer-winning Partita, to Gelsey Bell’s uncategorizable masterpiece mɔɹnɪŋ [morning//mourning], which looks back on humanity long after its passing with an air sweet nostalgia, tinged with bitterness at our wasted potential. In a present moment that feels more and more fragile with each passing day, we wanted to reflect on the lessons of the past, and offer a reminder that the future remains unwritten.

See below for more details and ticket links - as always, these concerts will sell out quickly. I hope that you'll join us for a show or two (or four), and even more than that, I hope that you're staying healthy, happy, and safe, and that we all continue to take care of one another during these turbulent times.

Your humble moss-less stone, with deep subterranean thanks,
Andrew
